Azerbaijan participated in Tourist Films Festival in Latvia 
  
II International Festival of Tourist Films "Tourfilm - Riga 2009" was held in Riga, Latvia. The program of the festival included demonstration of 47 films from 18 countries. Each film was presenting its country as a tourist destination.
Film on Azerbaijan was shot by "Imper Group" production centre. Director and producer of the film was Fariz Akhmediv. He presented his "Rhytms of Lahij" film that was awarded with the bronze statue and special diploma.

Tourist itineraries of Azerbaijan will get brown   

Roads leading to ancient historical monuments of Azerbaijan will be marked by special brown layer. This will be done for tourists to ease orientation, reported Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan. 7 various tourist itineraries are developed so far. Their details will be available soon.

AZAL enforces security measures related to swine flu danger risks

Azerbaijan airlines enforces security measures to cope with the risks of swine flu, said press officer of Azerbaijan national airlines Magerram Safarli.
"This is a preventive measure, we just increased number of specially trained people that screen passengers. Main attention will be paid to passengers that fly from Europe or America" he said.
He emphasized that generally there is no major risk to Azerbaijan since there are no direct flights from Mexico to Baku and the number of passengers coming from America is not large and they arrive mainly by transit flights from other airports.
