Day 1.
Baku. The excursion starts by visiting the Fire-worshippers Temple Atashgakh, which is situated within 20 km from the center of the city. After the dinner the excursion goes on to the center of the city where tourists can visit Icheri Shekher (The Old City) where the Old Baku was situated, the Maiden Tower and Palace of Shirvanshakhs (15th century) where the mosque, the bath-house and entrance gates have been wonderfully preserved.
Day 2.
Gabala – Oguz. Departure for Gabala early in the morning. The city which is situated within 225 km from Baku was built 1800 years ago, out of which 600 it had served as the capital of Caucasian Albania. The program includes visiting the historical museum and Albanian church in the Nij village. Visit to two synagogues. Stay at a hotel.
Day 3.
Departure for Sheki. The program starts by visiting the Palace of Sheki khans, Historical museum, Albanian church of 5-6th century, workshop of shebeke-wood engraving without use of nails, workshop on production of Sheki halvah(from thinly cut pastry made from rice flour).
After delicious dinner in the restaurant, the cuisine of which radically differ from that of the other regions of Azerbaijan you will visit the silk production factory and the Albanian church, preserved in Kish village. Stay at a hotel in Sheki.
Day 4.
Departure from Sheki to Shemakha. In this city you will have the opportunity to visit such historical and architectural monuments as Juma Mosque (19th century), Yeddi Gumbez(Seven Domes) and observatory of the great scientist N. Tusi, where one can see one of the biggest and ancient telescopes. Arrival in Baku.
Day 5.
Airport departure
