Shirvanshakh Palace - Seyid Yahya Bakuvie's mausoleum
Seyid Yahya Bakuvie's mausoleum ocupies central position at the middle yard of the Shirvanshahs' Palace. Mausoleum is situated at the south part of yard and known as "dervish's mausoleum".

Sourses inform Bakuvi was a court scientist of Khalilullah I. He was born in city of Shemakha. Seyid Yahya Bakuvi was a disciple of Sheykh Sadreddin, who headed the sect “khalvati”. After death of Sheykh Sadreddin Seyid Yahya came to Baku and lived till death. Some historians suppose that he died in 868 of Khidjre (1464). He was a deserving of respect and buried at the palace. 15 works of Seyid Yahya Bakuvi have been survived. His works are of Sufi-mystic character and are kept in Turkish cites: Istanbul, Konya, Manisa at the "Muradiya"library.

"Secrets of truth searchers", "Secrets of vinspiration", "Symbolics of sings", "Comments to Samanid's dinasty" and other works are valuable sources for philosophy,astronomy and mathematics studying.

Sufizm (dervishizm) - is a mystic-asketic trend of islam, which was formed in VIII century.

The sufi people had a tendecy to individual solitude with the God and even to merging with him by self-profounding.

Mausoleum has octahedral cupola. It has two parts; above the ground and underground. Upper part was for religious ceremonies, under part was a tomb.Mausoleum is made from narrow and broad well-hewn stone lines.

There are 3 small windows with stone lattices-shebeke - at the south, east, west sides of mausoleum.

Mausoleum is one of the links of architectural chain characterizing the connections in Shirvan.
